Teresa K. Henry - 204 Chestnut Street - Missoula, MT 59801- Tel. 406-549-8658

Teresa Henry has served in the Montana Legislature since January 2005. Teresa came to politics after a history of working on individual social issues and various election campaigns. Initially involved in patient safety and workplace issues, Teresa gained experience interacting with state government through state nurses associations and community boards.

With experience and the respect of her peers Teresa moved into leadership positions with the Montana Nurses Association, the Montana Women's Lobby and United Methodist Women. As access to health care became a problem for more and more Montanans, as the costs of health insurance continued to rise, and as public health infrastructure and resources decreased Teresa was driven and encouraged to run for the Montana House in 2004. Health care policy and children's issues continue to be a priority for Teresa Henry.

Teresa was born in Port Huron, Michigan on August 14, 1952. She was raised in Michigan with her 3 sisters. Her father sold hardware and tools and her mother was a nurse. Teresa graduated from high school in Flint, MI and earned a nursing degree from Mercy College, Detroit.
